LONDON (Web Desk) - The British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has been fined for failing to use a seat belt while driving.
According to Lancashire police, a 42-year-old London man who was caught driving without a seatbelt was given a fixed fine. The passenger has reportedly been fined £100 by the police for failing to use a seatbelt but if the matter proceeds to court the punishment may rise to £500.
It should be remembered that British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak recently appeared in a social media video conversing while driving without a seatbelt.
Later, after recognising his error, Rishi Sunak loosened his seatbelt for a while to record a video for social media, but now that he has acknowledged his error and apologised, according to a statement released by the British Prime Minister s office.
The message read, "The British Prime Minister believes that every citizen must wear a seat belt when travelling."
