Pakistan flag waved in India's Kerala, over 30 students booked

The flags were allegedly waved during preparations for college union elections.

KERALA (Dunya News) – More than 30 students have been booked on Saturday for allegedly waving Pakistan flags inside Perambra Silver College, Kozhikode – a coastal city in the south Indian state of Kerala.

Sources familiar with the matter told the media that the incident occurred on Thursday when students, who were members of Muslim Students Front (MSF) accompanied by Kerala Students Union (KSU) – a student body supported by the Congress – carried out a procession as part of the union elections inside the campus.

The flags were allegedly waved during preparations for college union elections.

Cases have been lodged against students under sections 143, 147, 153 and 149 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
