Over 3,500 Kashmiri students studying in India returned: PSAJK

Every year at least more than 11,000 Kashmiri students go to India to pursue their studies.

SRINAGAR (Web Desk) - In occupied Kashmir, at least 3,500 Kashmiri students, studying in different colleges and universities of India, have returned to the Valley while more than 250 students are stuck in mosques of Jammu.

The Chairman of Private Schools Association of Jammu and Kashmir (PSAJK), G N Var talking the media persons in Srinagar said nearly 250 students have been shifted to Jammu who also want to return home following the Pulwama incident.

He said every year at least more than 11,000 Kashmiri students go to India to pursue their studies. He said whenever harassment or a life threatening incident takes place, the students are no longer safe in that particular college or university.

“We want the authorities to find a solution to safeguard the lives of Kashmiri students,” G N Var said.
