NEW YORK (Dunya News) – A fundraising event was held in New York for the Cancer Care Hospital that is under- construction in Lahore.
The event was organized by Pakistani American of New York (PANY) and was attended by a large number of people including the hospital’s doctor professor Sheheryar.
Addressing the event, New Yorks’ renowned business and social personalities said that as US-Pakistanis they should play their role in building the hospital. They asserted that as Allah has blessed them enough they should help their Pakistani brothers.
Dr Sheheryar gave a presentation to the audience and told them about the hospital project. He said that more than 1,00,000 cancer patients are present in Lahore alone but only 20% of them are able to receive treatment.
He claimed that his hospital would provide free medical treatment to all and no patient will be rejected.
PANY’s chairman Zaheer Ahmed assured that his organization will provide full cooperation to Cancer Care Hospital.
