(Web Desk) - A 14th Century cottage in Suffolk used as the fictional birthplace of Harry Potter – the lead of J.K. Rowling’s bestseller, is back on the market for almost a million pounds.
Featured in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone and the Deathly Hallows Part One, as the house where the wizard s parents were killed by Lord Voldemort, this is the second time in five years that the six-bedroom vintage construction has been put up for sale, reported the BBC.

The house that formed part of Godric s Hollow in the Harry Potter film has an asking price of £995,000. Estate agents Carter Jonas said it was a "historically significant" property. The Harry Potter movie features the house opposite a fictional graveyard with a Christmas tree in the window, with lights on and Christmas music emanating from the windows.
According to Business Insider UK, the house has been named after the De Vere family – the second richest family in the county after the king, in medieval times, and is among about 340 listed buildings that are considered to be the best preserved medieval village in Lavenham. In 1651, the sister and youngest brother of Charles II and James II were held under house arrest inside the property.

The medieval period features of the property, including a massive timber frame, fireplaces, wall paintings and a rare stone spiral staircase with a carved brick handrail have been maintained.
Carter Jonas in an interview with BBC told that the De Vere House proudly stands as one of Lavenham s most prized properties to this day. "Residents can let their imagination run wild and relive their favourite Harry Potter scenes in real life Godric s Hollow", she said.
