SRINAGAR (Dunya News) - Indian forces on Thursday killed two more Kashmiri youth in their ongoing genocide in the Kulgam district.
The troops killed the youth, Aqib Ahmad Itoo and Suhail Ahmed, during a cordon and search operation at Gopalpora in Damhal Hanjipora area of the district.
Thousands of people participated in the funeral prayers of Aqib Ahmad Ittoo at his ancestral Gopalpora village in Kulgam district. The mourners raised pro-freedom and anti-India slogans on the occasion.
Meanwhile, the authorities again suspended the mobile Internet services in south Kashmir. Schools and colleges also remained shut amid fears of further protests against Indian rule.
On the other hand, two Indian soldiers including a Major, Kamlesh Pandey, were killed and two other personnel were critically injured in an attack at Matribugh Zaipora in Shopian.
The soldiers came under fire as they surrounded a house suspected of harbouring militants, and were evacuated from the scene. It was not clear if the militants inside evaded capture.
"Three soldiers were evacuated by air but two of them died before reaching a military hospital," a police officer told AFP.
