A powerful explosion levelled a house in Allentown, Pennsylvania late Wednesday night -- and caused a raging fire that quicky spread to nearby buildings.

Emergency teams rushed to the scene -- and officials had to evacuate a two block area, including a nearby retirement home. The cause of the blast has not yet been determined -- but authorities have not ruled out the possibility of a natural gas leak. According to local media reports, several people were injured in the blast and ensuing fire, including one firefighter.
