Summary 28 candidates qualified and were selected for the post of assistant commandant in the BSF.
NEW DELHI (Daily Dunya) – At least 16 out of 28 Indian Border Security Force (BSF) personnel have declined to join due to growing tensions and controversial videos of many soldiers.
According to Indian Express, 28 candidates qualified in the 2015 UPSC examination and were selected for the post of assistant commandant in the BSF in 2017. However; 16 of them refused to join despite the perils of not being allowed to appear for paramilitary post exams again.
Last year, only 17 out of 31 officers went ahead with training whereas in the same year those who appeared for the 2013 UPSC exams also joined the force. But only 69 of the 110 selected officers joined and of these, 15 resigned during training.
