DAMASCUS (Daily Dunya) – Social media is abuzz with various rumours regarding the death of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
According to Al-Arabiya, the president in under-treatement in Al-Shami hospital after being injured by the firing of his security guard.
Last week, various newspapers of Lebanon said that Assad suffered from a cerebral infraction and was transferred to Damascus Hospital where he is being treated under high security.
Meanwhile, Saudi newspaper Okaz went on to say that Assad is suffering from a “brain tumor.”
However; Syrian authorities have said that such rumors are incorrect.
