Summary "Yes, I have thought an awful lot about blowing up the White House," Madonna stated in her speech
WED DESK (Dunya News) – Madonna’s controversial speech at Women’s March on Washington D.C made waves while she made a jaw-dropping remark of ‘blowing up the White House’ at one point during her speech.
"Yes, I am outraged. Yes, I have thought an awful lot about blowing up the White House ... but I choose love," Madonna said while addressing one of the largest demonstrations in US history.
The speech met with severe criticism as the US Secret Service was reported to have started investigation in this regard as well.
However, the pop diva revealed on Sunday that she meant no violence and through her remark she didn’t incite violence.
Madonna professed that her remarks were taken "wildly out of context."
"I want to clarify some very important things. I am not a violent person, I do not promote violence and it’s important people hear and understand my speech in it’s entirety rather than one phrase taken wildly out of context," Madonna clarified through her Instagram post.
