Indian forces fail to rescue building from attackers after two-day operation in occupied Kashmir

Summary Explosions were heard whereas one army soldier has been reported injured.

SRINAGAR (Dunya News) – Indian forces remained unsuccessful after two days to break the siege of two attackers on a government building in occupied Kashmir’s Pampore area.

To confront the attackers, special troops of Indian army, paramilitary forces and police are present in the area.

However, the officials have yet not cleared the building even after the passage of two days.

According to Indian media, heavy fire was exchanged between the attackers and forces today.

Explosions were also heard whereas one army soldier has been reported injured.

Indian media reports say that two to three attackers used a raft to reach near the target site and entered the rear of the building by 06:00am.

According to a spokesperson of Indian army, Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute complex was under attack which is vacated due to holidays.

This is the second time the three-building complex has come under attack this year after at least a three-day long gunfight in February left three military commandos dead among seven persons.

On the other hand, in Shopian district atleast ten people including three army soldiers sustained injuries in grenade blast.

Patrolling party of Indian forces was targetted in the attack.
