Summary Trump's personal investment in elections climbs to $25 million
LAHORE (Web Desk) – US citizens are experiencing a highly significant yet one of their the most expensive Presidential Elections to date. The frontrunners have been ahead of the game when it comes to spending money for the campaigns and payment of the bills for Presidential race, reported Dunya News.
According to American Federal Election Commission (FEC) report, Donald Trump alone has spent more than $25 million including his personal investments and money donated by the supporters ($9.5 million) in the month of February.
Nearly $9.5 million have been spent in Iowa elections, largely buying media transmissions ($3.46 million), printing and design services ($1.1 million) and event production ($587,000).
The Democrats, for now, have taken the lead with regard to money spent in the elections as compared to the Republicans which has been considered as the most expensive elections Americans have experienced so far.
Bernie Sanders, a powerhouse candidate of the Democratic side, has taken over Hillary Clinton’s expenses in election campaign. The new figures indicated that he has invested far more cash, spending $40.9 million to Hillary s $34.3 million. That left Sander with $17.2 million in the bank as March began, while Clinton had $30.8 million.
