CARL VINSON, INT’L WATERS NEAR BAHRAIN (Dunya News) – American fighter jets taking off from a massive warship Carl Vinson aircraft carrier in the Arabian Gulf to target the ISIS terrorists, Dunya News correspondent reported from onboard the massive warship.
The massive carrier Carl Vinson has been on the mission on the international waters near Bahrain since October last year and carries over 60 fighter jets – most of which are F-18s – at a time. These aircrafts are always prepared to take off in a blink of an eye to strike the target.
Carl Vinson doesn’t only carry the fighter jets but it also has state of the art Hawkeye system equipped with modern radar and also carries gunship helicopters and Greyhound jets to transport sailors and other technical staff.
An American female fighter pilot told Dunya News that the pilots operating the fighter jet take utmost care to target terrorists only and to ensure minimum damage to civilians.
At least 70 flights take off from the massive aircraft carrier everyday whereas others are part of the training process.
The woman fighter pilot said she is proud that Pakistan also has women pilots in Pakistan Air Force (PAF).
The Air Wing Strike Group of the aircraft carrier is equipped with modern fighter jets capable of targeting enemies along with self-defense.
