Increase in national wealth was witnessed in Brazil, during an exhibition at Sao Paulo paintings worth $1.7 million were sold.An increase of 30% was witnessed in this years exhibition as compared to last year. Foreign art galleries participated actively as well specially since the financial crisis in Europe and America. The financial crisis has also hit the arts and craft market. At least 16,000 people participated in the exhibition and 80 galleries put up their stalls.
