International conference on Afghanistan on July 20: Holbrooke

Special US Representative for Pakistan and Afghanistan Richard Holbrooke said an international conference will take place in Kabul on July 20 to demonstrate support for Afghanistan's government, US envoy Richard Holbrooke.Richard Holbrooke was speaking to representatives of the media in Washington, where he said that Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and other senior foreign officials will take part in the event, which follows up the London conference on Afghanistan in July, Holbrooke told reporters.Richard Holbrooke, also praised Pakistans vital efforts in curbing militant activity along the Afghan border including the capture of Afghan Taliban and expressed understanding of Islamabads regional security concerns. The conference will be an affirmation of international support for the government, said Holbrooke, the US special envoy for Afghanistan and Pakistan.
