The United States has marked Yemen-based al-Qaeda as a terrorist outfit for planning to bomb Detroit airline and slapped sanctions on its leaders.Two top leaders of al-Qaeda -- Nasir al-Wahishi and Said al-Shihri have been included in the suspected terrorists list by the US just ten days before the above said thwarted terrorist plan, which was sealed by Hillary Clinton, US Secretary of State. Earlier, both the outfits claimed repsonsibility of the foiled plan to bomb US airline on December 25.
