Doctors have finally diagnosed an American schoolgirl who has been driven crazy by up to 12,000 sneezes a day. Lauren Johnson, 12, hasn't been able to stop sneezing since suffering a bad cold in early November. At a rate of about one every seven seconds, her only relief from the constant barrage came during sleep. But a child neurologist has finally identified the condition that a string of baffled specialists were unable to pinpoint diagnosing Lauren with Pediatric Autoimmune Neuropsychiatric Disorder Associated with Streptococcus, or PANDAS.Dr. Rosario Trifiletti said the disorder usually occurs following a streptococcal infection such as a strep throat.
