Two small planes collided in midair over central Germany on Saturday and crashed, killing seven people, police said.
The collision happened near the small town of Woelfersheim, north of Frankfurt, as darkness fell at around 4:15 p.m. (1515 GMT), police in Friedberg said in a statement. The aircraft crashed into neighboring fields, about 400 yards (365 meters) apart.
It wasn t immediately clear where the aircraft came from or where they were headed, and there was no information on the victims identities.
Police had no immediate information on might have caused the crash.
