Al-Qaeda militant Ali Saleh killed in Mogadishu

Most wanted al-Qaeda militant Saleh Ali Saleh Nabhan has been killed in Somalia by the US Special Forces. US Special Forces in four helicopters attacked a car and killed the Kenyan-born along with others insurgents. Local people and officials said that the militant was in a car with other insurgents when they were hit near Railay village that was controlled by the al Shabaab rebel group. Local people said that the dead bodies were taken by the foreign forces. Ali Saleh was suspected of a bomb blast in a hotel and involved in missile launch at an airliner leaving Mombasa airport. A US official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said Ali Saleh had been killed and his dead body was under the custody of US forces. Pentagon spokesman declined to comment on any operation in Somalia.
