Indian Interior Minister Chadam Baram says that India faces severe security threats while Jash-e-Muhammad and Lashkar-e-Tayabba are still determined to attack India. Talking to reporters, he said that the country faced the biggest challenge of the cross border terrorism. Chadam Baram told that in 2008, twelve while in 2009 thirteen terrorist groups were arrested. He maintained the terrorists were still present in 20 Indian states. He asserted that in north eastern states, terrorism would be crushed with iron fisted policies.
