Iran's parliament on Thursday approved 18 out of 21 cabinet nominees proposed by President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. A woman was nominated for the appointment as a minister for the first time in Iran. Iran's Parliament has approved nominee of Defence Minister Ahmad Vahidi who is wanted by Argentina in connection with a 1994 bombing in Buenos Aires. Two other female nominees for education and welfare ministers were rejected by the parliament.
