Key Mumbai attacks witness Nuruddin goes missing

A key witness who gave a deposition against Indian nationals Faheem and Sabahuddin in the Mumbai attacks case has gone missing, the prosecution told the special court on Friday. Nuruddin Mehboob Sheikh had yesterday, as a prosecution witness, highlighted the role of Sabahuddin and Ansari in the Mumbai attacks conspiracy. The court had called the witness today for cross-examination but he failed to turn up. Special public prosecutor Ujjawal Nikam told the court that crime branch officials had gone to the residence of the witness, but his wife had said that Sheikh had left home early morning, saying that he has to go to the court. Nuruddin had yesterday told the court that he had seen special maps designed for Mumbai attacks with Faheem Ansari those were later handed over to Sabahuddin in Nepal.
