Six people were killed in a rocket attack in Kandahar early morning while on the other had Hamid Karzai appealed the people to come out for deciding their future. The polling started at 7:00 am according to the Afghan Standard Time. Karzai cast his vote at a special polling station established in a school near presidential palace in Kabul. Strict security arrangements were made on the occasion. Several officials including foreign minister Rangin Dadfar Spanta accompanied Karzai. Talking to the media Karzai said that people should dispel terrorists threats. Earlier six rockets fired in Kandahar killed six and injured several.
