Eleven people were killed and two injured Friday when a landslide triggered by a rainstorm buried a three-storey house in east China, state media reported. Rescuers pulled two people alive from the debris early Friday following the landslide which hit Lin'an, near the city of Hangzhou after midnight. Both survivors were hospitalised, with one of them seriously injured. Separately, two village officials inspecting flood control work in the suburbs of Hangzhou, capital of Zhejiang province, were also missing after their car fell into swollen waters when a highway caved in due to the heavy rains. Two people were killed Monday night when a landslide triggered by torrential rain from Typhoon Morakot toppled seven houses in Pengxi, also in Zhejiang.
