A Continental Airlines plane en route from Rio de Janeiro to Houston, Texas was forced to make an emergency landing in Miami early Monday, following strong turbulence that left more than two dozen passengers injured. Continental Airlines officials said Flight 128 with 168 passengers and 11 members of crew on board landed at Miami International Airport. Seven passengers were transported to Miami area hospitals while 28 passengers were treated at the airport for bruises, bumps and abrasions, the airline said. Officials from Continental said the plane was about an hour from Miami when the turbulence started.
