Summary Man registers name in Limca Book of Record for breaking 250 green coconuts in eastern India.
Keshab Swain of Bhubaneswar city in Indias eastern Orissa state added another feather to his cap as his name got registered in the Limca Book of Record for breaking 250 green coconuts with his elbow in 8 minutes 56 seconds of time.Swain broke his own record and enthralled the large number of spectators who had assembled to see the talented man breaking the coconuts with his elbow and forehead in a span of few minutes.Today in 8 minutes and 56 seconds, I broke 250 green coconuts and this is a biggest record and nobody has made such record in the world. I believe that if I would get a chance further then I will break 300 coconuts, said Keshab.Keshab added that he aspires to make his country proud and wants to create a new record with an aim to register his name in the Gunnies Book of World Record.In 2007, Keshab Swain created a record by breaking 147 green coconuts in 7.16minutes. Earlier in 2007, he created a record of breaking 147 in 7 minutes 16 seconds and today he broke 250 green coconuts non stop in 8 minutes and 56 seconds, it is a non-stop breaking record of 250 coconuts and his record has been taken into Limca Book of Record, said V.V.R Murthy, representative of Limca Book of Record.It was in years 2008 and 2009 that Keshab had tried to get his name registered in the Guinness Book of World Record and he broke 72 green coconuts in a minute with his elbow.It was in 2010 that Keshab had registered his name in the Limca book of world record after he broke 184 coconuts in 6.04 minutes.Poverty had compelled Keshab to pluck coconuts from the trees but his passion to make a mark for himself drove him to develop this unusual ability to break green coconuts with his elbow
