600-year-old skeleton of girl found in Peru's Lima
The girl was a spinner, like thousands of Peruvian workers today.
PERU (Dunya News) – Skeleton of a 20-year-old girl, who lived 600 years ago in the days of the Inca empire, was found by workers while installing gas pipes in Lima.
Archaeologist Cecilia Camargo told that the girl was a spinner, like thousands of Peruvian workers today. “It’s an amazing discovery for us, it connected us directly with our past,” she added.
“This character was an artisan, not elite, who was dedicated to such noble work as weaving, with techniques that until today are preserved,” said Camargo.
