Summary Hundreds of citizens created a strange atmosphere by participating in yoga exercises in New York.

The exercises were arranged under the auspices of an organisation called ‘Mind over Madness’. The organisers said they expect 8,000 people to participate in the event, which takes place in three sessions.The exercises held on the longest day of the year in an attempt to obtain energy for peace of mind for the whole year ahead. Majority of the participants were of the view that yoga is the best source to obtain peace of mind in this age of hustle and bustle.
