Man marries effigy on father's wish
The marriage was held in traditional style.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – An Indian man married an effigy on his father wish in Ghurpur as the ceremony was held in the traditional style, local media reported.
The groom’s father said eight of his nine sons had been married earlier but the ninth son is neither intelligent nor possesses any property which is the reason he got him married to an effigy.
All rituals were performed on the occasion. Shehnai was played and women sang traditional songs.
