Summary Man wins case against company for assigning boring job
(Web Desk) – Frederic Desnard, who worked as a manager at a French perfume company till 2015, sued his employer because his job was so boring.
The court has directed the company to pay €40,000 (£36,000) in damages to a former employee who suffered from “bore out” because he was not given anything interesting to do.
Desnard claimed that losing an important client led to him being assigned menial tasks at the company for four years.
The court ruled, “Desnard suffered from bore out, which is technically the opposite of burnout, where an employee is overworked.”
