Bored housebound teens steal cars for amusement
New York (Dunya News) - In, what can be termed as an ingenuous act, a group of 19 youths aged between 9 and 16 ventured into a car lifting competition in North Karolina state.
According to police probe, the silly boys resorted to the bizarre act in order to kill their boredom brewing up amid covid-19 lockdown where people are supposed to stay indoors worldwide.
The boys were caught red-handed during theft spree, by police and by the time mischievous lot had managed to purloin 46 four wheelers separately to lead in the run.
The police have recovered 40 cars while proceeding are on to recover the remaining 6 four wheelers taken away by the boys. Police cannot arrest the puerile thieves for being underage, hence the juveniles are not liable to any strict legal penalty.
