Indian hunters eat King Cobra due to scarcity of rice amidst lockdown
ARUNACHAL PRADESH (Dunya News) – The hunters in India’s Arunachal Pradesh have consumed a venomous 12-feet-long King Cobra due to scarcity of rice in the area amid coronavirus lockdown.
In a picture posted on social media, three men can be seen with a dead poisonous snake slung on their shoulders. They made arrangements for the meal and used banana leaves to slice and clean the meat.
They said, “We have no food left in granaries because of the lockdown amid the COVID-19 pandemic. We have also not eaten meat for some time."
"So we went to the jungle looking for something, and found this (the King Cobra)," one of the men said.
