Siberian gas station employee fights robber with mop
The owner fought with a mop off the robber who ran away with 7,000 roubles (110 USD).
(Reuters) - A security camera installed in a gas station in Russia s Siberian Novosibirsk region captured the moment a masked robber used pepper spray to get to cash register during the early hours.
The CCTV footage also showed the robber using the pepper spray against a woman employee who rushed into the gas station shop. After spraying in the wrong direction, the robber tried again.
The woman disappears from view and comes back wielding a mop which she uses to fight off the robber who ran away with 7,000 roubles (110 USD).
Novosibirsk regional police released the CCTV images and gave detailed description of the suspect, asking for information about the robber who has now been put on a wanted list.
