Mexican mayor forced to parade in woman dress for failing to fulfill promises

MEXICO (Dunya News) – The residents of a municipality in southern Mexico made mayor to wear a woman dress and forced him to parade throughout the town for failing to fulfill his campaign promise to allocate 3 million pesos for improvements to the town’s water system.
According to details, Huixtán province’s Mayor Javier Jimenez walked around in a long dark skirt and frilly white blouse with ruffles and flowery embroidery.
In an interview, the mayor said, “I been trying to fulfill my promises and that there is no more money in the fund because it has been given to various municipalities."
