NYC (Reuters) - Items from Hollywood biggest stars of today and yesterday are set to hit the auction block. Los Angeles based auction house, Kruse GWS Auctions, Inc. will host a live auction on August 31 that will include lots from Elvis Presley, Marilyn Monroe, Sharon Tate and films "Forrest Gump" and "Larry Crowne."

Vehicles owned by Presley and medical devices once used on him are among the top lots.

"Letitia Henley was Elvis Presley’s personal nurse. She worked for Dr. Nichopoulos, who a lot of the fans refer to as Dr. Nick. She used these devices on Elvis for about a period of 10 years," said auction house founder, Brigitte Kruse.

"We have her medical bag. We have a ear nose and throat pieces, a medical blood pressure cuff, the stethoscope used on him. All of these pieces were used on Elvis for a very, very long time," each item comes with a letter from Henley explaining each piece.

One of the most exclusive items is Kate Winslet’s screen worn costume from "Titanic."

"This is the jacket she was actually wearing in the scene where the ship was going down. In my opinion this is top of the line, the top tier of collecting and we like to consider this piece, kind of the up and coming ruby red slippers," said Kruse.

"This piece is expected to bring between $350,000-$500,000 (USD) conservatively on auction day."
The auction will be held at Hard Rock Café in Hollywood, California.
