HONG KONG (Dunya News) – To curb the risks involved in the rescue operations on high seas which pose significant threats to those involved, researchers have invented a remote-controlled lifebuoy named as Dolphin 1 that can swim and save drowning people.
Dolphin 1 is a new remote control lifebuoy that allows rescuers to quickly and easily navigate directly to swimmers in distress.
The Dolphin 1 is controlled by a simplified remote controller allowing first-time users to easily use the device to help rescue swimmers if required without the need for specialist rescue teams in remote locations.

The lifebuoy is equipped with two propellers and is capable of a maximum speed of 10 kn/s. Once the remote control lifebuoy reaches its target swimmer the device is capable of providing buoyancy that is equivalent to 1.5 regular boys enabling it to carry up to two people at a time if needed.
The propeller is wrapped by a metal shell to protect the user from injury and keep the propellers from entangling with water plants and the battery is stored in an independent cabin so that the Dolphin 1 can keep functioning, even if the hull is damaged.
