Chilean doctor gives same 3D scan to dozens of expecting mothers

(Web Desk) – In a bizarre turn of events, a gynecologist named Doctor Eduardo Oliva in Chile was caught giving out the same 3D scan of a baby to at least 40 expecting mothers.
Belen Aguilera, was the first to have notice a 3D scan on Facebook similar to her baby, posted by another mother.
According to Mirror, the woman in a state of shock posted online about the malpractice and discussed the matter with her relatives as well.
‘Some days ago I found an ultrasound scan on Facebook, it rang a bell, and I compared it with the ultrasound of my daughter. In that moment, Doctor Eduardo Oliva was attending me, in Constitucion, in the central Chilean region of Maule. They are the same, the same details, everything, the other baby was dated six years ago and my daughter is one year and 10 months old,’ she added.
According to local media reports, a 3D scan of a baby in Chile costs up to 50,000 Pesos around £58.
President of the Doctors College, Izkia Siches regarded the case very serious if it is confirmed.
On the other hand Doctor Olivia, the doctor in question, in his official statement blamed it on a technical glitch of his printer that gave away a print of a preset picture meant for demonstration purposes.
The doctor also apologized for the unintentional ordeal and the distress caused by it.
