(Dunya News) – A homeless in UK enjoyed shopping for Rs. 1 crore via his debit card having technical issue. Police however, arrested him as he got exposed for this trick.

According to the details, a 49-years old homeless man named Allah Ditta from Bradford had a debit card with no balance in account. He happened to use the card on Tesco Store first and surprisingly it worked. He left the store while carrying the goods and to confirm the workability of his debit card, the drug-addict homeless visited another store to try the card. It worked for his shopping there as well without any loss to the account.

The reason behind all this activity was the technical error in the database of the debit card which wasn’t showing any deduction. As Allah Ditta realized about the issue, he, along with his friends went on shopping for 167 times and bought toys, expensive items and other essential things. The worth of this shopping reached up to £56 thousand which is more than PKR 1 crore, 10 lac.

However, this “magical debit card” trick of the homeless drug-addict couldn’t work for long and Police arrested him. Allah Ditta is sentenced for 2 years and 3 months imprisonment.

Allah Ditta told that he wasn’t aware of the technical error of his debit card but the court remarked that he shopped for all expensive items like smartphones and jewelry, which he couldn’t afford, along with his friends taking advantage of the error and so his stance cannot be trusted.
