Pakistani man pretends to faint in bid to avoid arrest by Malaysian authorities

ALOR STAR (Web Desk) – A Pakistani man failed in his bid to fake a faint to avoid arrest by the Malaysian Immigration Department on Friday.

According to media reports, the 35-year-old man was taken to the department s Enforcement Division office in Anak Bukit after he was released from jail for offences under the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Act 2009.

Media reports confirmed that when officers told him that he would be arrested, the man created a scene before suddenly  fainted  on the floor.

"A few minutes later, his father, who was seated not far away, was seen holding his chest and fell off his chair.

The Malaysian immigration department officials said that to avoid further unforeseen circumtances, the department contacted the Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital for medical assistance.

A medical team rushed to the department and after checking both father and son, gave them a clean bill of health.

The officials said the man was then detained and later taken to the department s detention depot in Sik for further action. He faced possible deportation.
