EGYPT (Web Desk) - An Egyptian woman filed for divorce from her husband after he refused to buy her a shawarma.
According to the wife named Sameeha, they went out for recreation and told her husband that she wanted to eat a shawarma.
However; the man refused the woman saying that ‘they had only come for juice.” It is pertinent to mention here that the couple had been married for just forty days.
“We had a traditional arranged marriage, I only knew him for two months before the wedding and never noticed how stingy he was,” Sameeha told the Egyptian daily.
“During the first week of our marriage, he told me that he hates going out anywhere because that would be a waste of money,” she added.
The woman also stated that her husband accused her of “exploiting his wealth” by demanding he buy her a shawarma after he bought her juice.
The case is under hearing in an Egyptian court and the verdict is set to be announced in coming weeks.
