Bailiff has freed atleast 9 people from illegal police custody in Bhalwal while no FIR was lodged against the station house officer (SHO) and an Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) instead of court orders, Dunya News reported on Thursday. Mujahid Hussain appealed in the court of Additional Session Judge Rana Masood that the SHO of Miani Shamser has arrested his cousin and guests and locked them up in the police station. The bailiff raided the police station and freed 9 people from the illegal custody of police. The Judge ordered the District Police Officer (DPO) Sargodha to lodge an FIR against the SHO and the ASI but the court orders are yet to be obeyed by the DPO.
