Swine Flu Vaccine Wont be available soon

Summary

Plans to start vaccinating people against swine flu next month have been thrown into doubt after the head of the World Health Organization said a vaccine would not be ready by then. WHO director general Dr Margaret Chan told the Guardian: Theres no vaccine. One should be available soon, in August. But having a vaccine available is not the same as having a vaccine that has been proven safe. Clinical trial data will not be available for another two to three months. Health Secretary Andy Burnham had said the first batches were due to arrive in Britain in August and would be eventually available to everyone.
