(Reuters) - Bitcoin increased 2.3 percent to $23,199 gaining $521 over the previous closing, at 10:07 GMT on Saturday.
The biggest and most well-known cryptocurrency in the world Bitcoin has increased by 40.6 percent since January 1 when it hit a year low of $16,496.
The price of Ether, the cryptocurrency connected to the Ethereum blockchain, increased by $9.7 on Saturday to reach $1,668.1, up 0.58 percent from the previous closing.
