Tesla hiring support staff to handle Elon Musk's Twitter complaints
(Web Desk) – Tesla CEO Elon Musk has been quite the active Twitter-user over the years, but that might change soon as Tesla announced it is recruiting support staff to handle some of the tweets he receives.
The new role is being called “Energy Customer Support Specialist,” and its main duties involve “handl[ing] a variety of customer issues while delivering on world-class customer service,” according to the job description.
“The role of the specialist is to resolve or escalate complaints through appropriate channels and address social media escalations directed at the CEO with critical thinking.”
These new openings are an indirect replacement of Tesla’s PR department that the company closed down last year — the job listing describes support specialists as “the front line and face of the Tesla brand.”
Musk’s Twitter-activity over the years has been a mixed bag of humor and inspiration, but also controversy, so it isn’t entirely surprising that the world’s richest person is thinking about stepping back a little from the platform.
