IHC adjourned the hearing for four weeks
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Chief Justice of Islamabad High Court (IHC) Justice Athar Minallah has said that TikTok is an important source of entertainment for public.
As per details, IHC heard a petition against ban on the social media app and non-framing of Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) rules.
During the hearing, Chief Justice Athar Minallah asked that who takes decision in PTA regarding ban on apps and further remarked that during coronavirus pandemic TikTok has been a source of income for less privileged class.
The court asked that an unfortunate incident took place on motorway so will the authorities block that too. The world is moving forward but you are taking country backward, court remarked.
Court, while seeking PTA rules on next hearing, adjourned the hearing for four weeks.
