WhatsApp is implementing new tools for Storage Usage
WhatsApp's new feature will help users optimise storage on their phones.
(Web Desk) – WhatsApp is working new tools for storage usage for millions of its Android users. The new tools were spotted in the latest version of WhatsApp beta for Android. The features will soon be available for iOS users as well.
According to WAbetainfo, WhatsApp’s new feature will help users optimise storage on their phones. This will include freeing up space and also search filters for forwarded and large files.
A screenshot of the interface reveals WhatsApp will soon show suggestions to clean up the storage. You will have the option to review and delete files you think are unnecessary.
The second row will feature “forwarded files” along with how much space they’re consuming. The third row will show large files and space they’ve taken up on your phone.
The new tools will be available alongside the older ones which allowed users to track the space consumed by each chat.
Separately, WhatsApp is working on a wide range of new features aimed at enhancing the user experience on the app. The set of upcoming features include UI improvements, dedicated ringtone for group calls, and return of the camera shortcut.
