PM Imran launches Pakistan's first education channel "TeleSchool"
The premier thanked Ministry of Education and Ministry of Information on this important initiative.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan has launched Pakistan’s first education channel “TeleSchool” on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, the prime minister said that the government will use all resources to improve the ‘Tele School Channel .
He said that the channel should continue even after coronavirus pandemic ends, adding that the will benefit children living in far-flung areas.
Iman Khan further that a large number of children were out of school amid coronavirus outbreak, adding that there are several areas in the country where televisions have arrived but the teachers have not arrived.
The premier thanked the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Information on this important initiative.
“No could be given regarding the coronavirus pandemic,” he said.
On the other hand, the purpose of airing TeleSchool was to mitigate any effect on academics and ensure that the learning continues during these declared summer vacations till May 31.
The channel will broadcast carefully developed content for class 1 to 12 from 8am to 6pm everyday.
The content has been sequenced by the official from Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) and few educational digital content development platforms provided support on pro bono basis.
The channel TeleSchool will be available on satellite, terrestrial and cable networks ensuring that 95 percent of Pakistan population is able to access the content.
