WhatsApp down around the world as users report issues with multimedia

(Web Desk) – WhatsApp users across the world are reporting issues with the messenger app.
On Sunday, users began reporting issues with sending and receiving images and videos, as well as voice notes. Normal text messages appear to be delivering fine.
Down Detector is showing the scale problems in many countries including Pakistan. Outages are also being reported in Spain, Italy and Denmark.
According to Down Detector, problems started being reported shortly before 3pm. Since then, more than 745 people have recorded issues with the app.
Many WhatsApp users have also taken to social media to report problems.
“I don t know what is happening in WhatsApp..pic not sending @WhatsApp,” wrote one user.
Another added, “Anyone else s WhatsApp having issues? i.e. pictures and videos not sending.”
