Government employees prohibited from using WhatsApp

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The government employees have been banned from using WhatsApp, including sharing of documents on their personal WhatsApp number.
The decision has been taken during a meeting of National Assembly’s IT committee presided over by MNA Ali Khan Jadoon.
The National Information Technology Board (NITB) officials told the meeting that the government employees have been prohibited from using WhatsApp, and the government has taken an initiative of developing a server similar with WhatsApp.
The meeting was further informed that the upcoming service would allow employees to send voice messages, videos and share documents.
