Instagram down: Users unable to refresh feed or view posts
Facebook, which owns Instagram, has not yet commented on the cause of the issue, or when it expects the app to be fixed.
(Web Desk) – Instagram stopped working today (May 14) as many users around the world are unable to refresh their newsfeed or view posts.
According to DownDetector- which monitors online outages, Instagram has not been functional since 3:37pm BST or 7:37 GST.
The issue is primarily affecting users in the South of England and East Coast of the United States, according to DownDetector’s live outage map.
Of those who are having problems with the app, the majority (86%) said their news feeds were failing to refresh.
Facebook, which owns Instagram, has not yet commented on the cause of the issue, or when it expects the app to be fixed.

Earlier today, WhatsApp encouraged its users to upgrade the app to plug a security breach that allowed sophisticated attackers to sneak spyware into phones, in the latest trouble for its parent Facebook.
